The Foundation

Our theme verse is taken from 1 Corinthians 3:11,
"For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ."

The foundation of any establishment is the most important piece of the buildings stature. Without a foundation, a building would have no base to be built upon.

As Jesus says in Matthew 7, “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.”

Jesus is talking about His teachings, if we listen and do according to what He says and teaches, we build our spiritual house on the rock, which is Christ Himself. Our 5th and 6th grade ministry has been duly named The Foundation. We believe that the children should enter into an environment of Biblical teaching, not just thoughts or sermons that are too thought provoking or elaborate, but simple and understandable.

5th and 6th grade is a beautiful age group of kids beginning to find themselves in this world. What better identity to find themselves in than an identity in Christ.

Children are fragile and their minds are impressionable, that’s why God said, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). The foundation of their lives will be firm in Christ so that when the enemy comes and buffets them with temptation, their faith would be rooted in the true Vine, which is Jesus.  We are excited to be able to pour into the next generation the Christian Fundamentals and the Basics of our Christian Walk.

We, as a leadership, have dedicated our lives to the service of our King and to the ministry of the saints. We take the lives of the children as precious; we value them and, with all diligence, provide the kids with biblical counsel and sound advice.
